
Last night our Boys & Girls Basketball teams played in the NYSPHSAA Class C Sub-Regionals. It was a night of intense games vs Moriah, with both ending with a margin of only two points. The girls won 43-41, while the boys lost 46-44. Both battled so hard, and were supported by great fans at the game and from afar. So proud of our teams & coaches!
The girls will advance into the NYSPHSAA Regionals (Final 8), and play on Saturday, March 15th vs Stillwater at Maxcy Hall at 1pm. The team will leave school at 11am. Let's line the town and show them our LCS Spirit!
Tickets for the game are cashless and can be purchased through GoFan. There will be an option to purchase via credit or debit card only at the door. Children 12 & under are free.

Tuesday's the day our Knights will take on Moriah in the NYSPHSAA Class C Sub-Regional games at Maxcy Hall!
Come cheer on our teams and let's send them off with Lisbon support! We will send-off both teams with a bus parade through town. The bus will leave school with both teams at 3:15, go through town, turn around by the Fire Station and Diner, and go back to school. Then it's on to Maxcy Hall.
Girls game starts at 5pm. Boys will start at 6:45. Both games will be broadcast on the NFHS Network.
Tickets can be purchased through GoFan. There is a cashless only option for tickets at Maxcy via credit or debit card. Students 12 & under are free. And one ticket gets you into both games.

Congratulations to our merger athletes! OFA Hockey had a thrilling 3-2 win over Rye to advance to the Final Four next weekend. They will play Saturday at 11:30am vs Queensbury/Lake George at the Harborcenter in Buffalo.
The Canton Boys Relay Team had a strong finish at the Indoor Track and Field State Championships yesterday.

Lisbon girls had a tough matchup tonight vs Malone for the overall Section X title game. Although it was the first loss this season, we played with heart and never gave up. The team moves on to the NYSPHSAA Sub-regionals to be played at Maxcy Hall on Tuesday night vs Moriah at 5 pm. Go Knights!
Lisbon's Alyssa Flack was honored as the female recipient of the Betty Ahlfeld award
for Section X. Basketball players from the past 50 years were recognized tonight from across the section. A special night of Section X basketball!

Our hockey players will be playing in the NYSPSHAA Regional game vs Rye at 2pm on Saturday. The game is at OFA in the Dome. Tickets can be purchased through Go Fan and the game will be on the NFHS Network.
Competing this weekend in the NYSPHSAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will be the Canton Boys Relay team. Noah Gendebien is one of the athletes competing at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Long Island. The meet will be covered on the NFHS Network.

Girls Basketball Awards were handed out including All-Northern, Sportsmanship, and Coach Russell was Coach of the Year in the West. The JV Girls were also recognized as the JV Champs in the West! Congrats Ladies! Go Knights!








Lisbon boys had a tough game tonight vs Malone. The Knights lost 48-42. Following the game, Athlete of Distinction, Sportsmanship, All-Northern & special awards were handed out. Coach Jordan was Co Coach of the Year in the West. Cooper Rutherford was a Jukoski Award Finalist. The team will represent Section X Class C in the NYSPHSAA Sub-regional game on Tuesday, March 11th vs Moriah of Section 7 at 6:45pm
at Maxcy Hall. Go Knights!

Lisbon is now accepting Universal Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten registrations for the 2025-2026 school year. Children must be 4 years old by December 1, 2025 for UPK and 5 years old by December 1, 2025 for Kindergarten.

It's March Madness Time! Section X Overall Basketball Semi-Finals will be played this week. Lisbon Boys will play Malone at 6pm on Tuesday, March 4th. Lisbon Girls will play Chateaugay at 6pm on Wednesday, March 5th. At the conclusion of the Lisbon games each night, sectional awards will be handed out. All games will be played at SUNY Potsdam - Maxcy Hall. There is no admission fee for the games! Games will also be broadcast on the NFHS Network. Good Luck & Go Knights!


Spring Sports Parent/Player Meeting Night will be held on Monday, March 3rd at 6pm in the Cafeteria for any Lisbon Softball & Baseball players in grades 7-12. Please attend as we will have our team meetings and an opportunity for parents and players to meet the Coaches.


2024/25 Section X Girls Class C Champions!! The girls are now undefeated with a 20-0 overall record. This is the first time in 24 years for a Lisbon girls basketball team to win a divisional championship! The team will move on to play in the Girls overall Section X Semifinals on Wednesday at Maxcy Hall. The team has advanced to the NYSPHSAA Sub-Regional game vs Section 7. They will play at Maxcy on March 11th! Congrats & Go Knights!






Section X Boys Class C Champions - 2024/25! The team was also recognized at the start of the game as the regular season West Champs! Lisbon will move on to play in the overall Section X Semifinals on Tuesday, March 4th. Lisbon will also advance to the NYSPHSAA Subregional Game vs Section 7 on Tuesday, March 11th! Go Knights!




Congratulations to our LCS Cheer team who competed in the Section X Sectionals tonight at Maxcy Hall. Of the three Co-Ed teams, Lisbon took 2nd place behind Malone. Senior Athlete of Distinction and All-Northern Awards were also awarded. We are proud of the team for their hard work and efforts this season and thank you to our Coaches! Go Knights!







Good Afternoon. This is a friendly reminder that students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 5th, for a staff professional development day. There will be no After School Program. PM BOCES at NorthWest Tech will attend their programs as usual.

LCS Softball will be hosting a Youth Softball Clinic for Girls in grades 3-6. The Clinic will run from 3:00-4:45 pm, March 10th-13th, in the small gym. Players may sign up for a session, or all 4 sessions. The Clinic will be put on by the LCS Softball Coaches & Staff. Forms were sent home with students, or you can register using the QR code in the flyer.


Sectionals Week! Best of luck to our Cheer, Boys, and Girls Basketball teams as we move into a busy week. Thursday the Cheer team will compete in Sectionals (6pm), Friday Boys vs Brushton-Moira (4pm), Saturday Girls vs Madrid-Waddington (1pm).

Congratulations to Senior Cooper Rutherford for his success this season. Tonight we recognized Cooper for being the new Lisbon All-Time Leading Scorer. He ended the regular season and his varsity career with a total of 1859 points. Congrats Cooper!
